Formation of Qi Gong teacher.

The interest in Qi Gong is becoming more and more increasing.
More and more people learn to know and become fascinated by the possibilities and its applications.
Although already more than 2500 years the popular medicine in China and at the root of almost all martial arts, especially Tai Chi, it is still often poorly treated.
In most cases it is seen as a kind of warming up exercise in Tai Chi or as a kind of stretch and breathing exercise.
There are therefore not much specific, specialized teaching Qi Gong.
And that's exactly the shoe pinches: Many people like Qi Gong and want to learn the practice.
They just want them not having to travel too far and as close to home at times when it suits them.
That is unfortunately not today, so there is need for well-trained, new Qi Gong teachers that local groups can develop.

Theo De Gelaen is already more than 20 years professional working with Qi Gong and a highly valued teacher.

As head coach at Daochi Dim Mak, he has the goal of new Qi Gong teachers to train properly in a reasonable time. From September 2010 we start a new course for new people ready for this task.

Probably not everyone is interested in everything and one will eventually want to specialize.
Yet it is important that a future teacher knows them all, so all of them without control.
The first level of training should be seen as an introduction to the various components.
But the various exercises and approaches.
 
Growing in Qi Gong does not mean they like it more and more exercises to learn.
On the contrary!
There is less and less different exercises, but the exercises develop more depth.
 
In Qi Gong, it him to feel, experience. Not about the mental approach and understand.
 
A teacher must realize that in the first place and control.
It is hard to teach others something you do not fully controlled or feel.
Therefore, teacher training devotes considerable attention to the personal development of teachers through the various basic techniques such as:
 
- Finding a good balance, both in posture and movement

- Being able to open up and relax all joints (chakra)

- General relaxation
- Meditation and concentration
- Learning to send Qi  with thoughts

- Some basic exercises such as:
           o Crane

           o Walking Qi Gong
           o Sitting Qi Gong

In addition, the teacher must also teach others to guide and correct and should therefore know what to look at.
 
He or she needs to see how energy flows and where blockages are and can help people who need to release blockages.
In addition, the course instructor has to learn how to teach in a good way  and to motivate and guide people .
 
The training
 
The teacher training takes a total of 50 lessons of 3 hours (150 hours) within a period of 3 years.
30 of these are general lessons and 20 special education teachers lessons.
 
The training is spread over 3 years of 50 hours per year.

The first year is about developing your own personal skill in Qi Gong.

The second year you learn how to help and correct others one on one.

The third year you learn above all teaching groups.

 
At the end of each year and to be admitted to the next year, one passes a test to demonstrate to have acquired the necessary skill .
 
People who are already training with Qi Gong Daochi may get some exemptions.
 
Who already has Level 2 can immediately start in the second year and who is level 3 and higher, run directly into the third year.
 
Candidates with relevant experience outside Daochi Qi Gong can also get exemption based on their skills assessment by the teacher.
 
Candidate teachers receive a card which she followed lessons stamped.
The weekly evening classes only count for half a lesson.
Specific teachers lessons can be followed only during specific Saturday lessons and during the Sunday lessons.
 
The following Qi Gong teacher training will start on 24/25 September 2011 and continues through every second and fourth Saturday of the month from 14.00 to 17.00 hours and every second Sunday of the month from 10.00 to 17.00 hours.

At the end of the formation there is an exam and who pass will receive a license from accredited teacher Qi Gong.
 
This license is valid for 1 year and is automatically renewed if the teacher participates in that period at four training lessons and teaches one lesson himselves in Honbu Dojo.

Daochi is common for quality and we can guarantee only that if our certified teachers train themselves continuously.

 
Participate:

To allow candidate teachers to get experience, classes are also open to other participants.

Potential teachers must be specifically registered with the start of a the course year in September.

After that date one can still participate in the lessons, but they do not count for teacher training.

This is because we expect a commitment of the candidates to clearly go for training. Candidates would receive specific and individual attention of the teacher.

Only those who register in September, will get the stamp card.


Cost:

The first year of the formation costs 570, - euros and includes:

 Access to the online Daochi Study Center for Qi Gong and test access
 Stamp card for the followed lessons
 1 year membership of Daochi

Obviously the people who already hold of some of these items, they will receive  the cost ot the item in rebate.
 
The next year you pay 370, - per year, representing 50 classes and contribution to Daochi.
 
Special arrangements: who in addition to the basic lessons of that year wants to participate to more lessons Qi Gong can do that at the special rate of teachers at 150 euros for a 20 session card (weekly lessons or 10 session card for weekend lessons).
